Neocore E1 Tablet Review 2021

Neocore E1 10.1" tablet Review 2021. I've got to give a lot of credit to Neocore. They have been in business for a good few years now, and apart from standing the test of time, they have not sat back and tried to make all their money from a standard spec tablet that hasn't seen an upgrade in years. No. In fact it's quite the opposite.

I remember the days when Neocore tablets came with 512mb RAM. Those models were the B1, C1 and N1. They have come a long way since then. With the E1, I believe it started out with 1GB RAM, as it is one of the newer models. But now its currently at 3GB RAM in the latest version for 2021 [The E2]. Found on the official Neocore website and here - Amazon.

The E1 has become the model to buy when it comes to Neocore tablets. There's also the N1, and that has seen some significant upgrades over the years too. I think the last upgrade for the N1 was in 2019, so it has been revamped somewhat. But it definitely takes second place if putting the N1 up Vs the E1.

However, the price of the N1 is lower. But it's not really that much lower to confidently choose it over the E1 in order to save money. The difference in spec makes the extra money outlay that comes with buying the E1 more worthwhile.

I mean, 1GB RAM Vs 3GB RAM. That's a huge difference when it comes to smoothness, multitasking abilities and overall performance.

Neocore E1 Specification (2020 model)

Android 9.0 (Pie) 3GB RAM, Quad Core Processor, 32GB internal storage space, ten-hour battery life, 10.1" 1280×800 High Definition (HD) IPS (real glass screen) display, huge capacity 512GB SD Card slot, Dual Cameras, Dual Wi-Fi, micro HDMI connection, GPS, headphone jack, Bluetooth, microphone, Micro USB, extra grippible back for better handling and a two-year warranty.

It's a great deal for the price. 3GB RAM with Android Pie results in a fast and fairly powerful machine, good for multitasking, including heavy Java / flash pages and infinite scroll websites (Twitter, Instagram etc) that eat resources and can slow devices down to a snails pace once the page has scrolled extensively.  The E1 is also good for low to medium resource sapping games, and also very good for video playback (YouTube, Netflix, Bitchute, TikTok, Facebook etc).

Latest model: Buy from the official Neocore website or Amazon UK

The reviews from customers have remained very consistent over the years. And taking a quick look on Amazon to stay updated, it seems like the latest model, with 3GB RAM, is continuing the trend of happy customers. Although it should be noted that while it is a good tablet for the price, it's not without a few drawbacks.

Core Considerations

A few people have stated that the speakers are not the best quality, but cheap tablets are well-known for their lack of speaker loudness and quality, so its nothing you won't find with most tablets in or around the same price point. Just use headphones or an external Bluetooth speaker.

Another area a few buyers say is lacking is with the quality of the cameras. But again, cameras in cheaply priced tablets are notorious for being quite grainy. These two drawbacks are certainly not deal breakers given the overall value for money offered with this device.

Alternatives

But if you're someone who wants or needs better speakers and cameras in a Tablet, you'll need to spend more money and buy something that has both features in abundance, such as the HUAWEI MatePad 10.4 inch with quad (4) speakers (Harman Kardon) and twin rear 8MP and Front 8 mega pixel cameras.

Or, if you have more to spend the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 10.8-inch is well worth considering (6GB RAM, Kirin 990 Octa-Core Processor, 128GB storage, 13 mega pixel + 8MP cameras and quad-speakers + 4 channels (Harman Kardon).

Final Thoughts

Like most tablets these days, the E1 can be hooked up to an external keyboard if you want to use it for writing, or within reason, for work related tasks. Overall, the Neocore E1 offers a lot of features and versatility for the low price. And looking at its competitors, it's definitely at the top of the shortlist and has more RAM than practically all of them. A good tablet with an impressive spec for those on a tight budget.

Neocore tablets are only available in the UK. I sometimes come across people from the USA that are interested in Neocore products, but they are not for sale in America, and I don't think Neocore ship to America. The closest equivalent would be the few Fusion5 models that are for sale on Amazon.com.

Will it upgrade to Android 10 very disappointed!

Hi Steve. I've seen a few people a bit peed off because their tablet wouldn't auto upgrade to Android 12, despite being promised by Neocore that it would be. Have you tried updating it manually.
